DRIED pick n mix
wedding florals
FAQs
is Pick n Mix right for our wedding?
We’ve designed our dried pick n mix collection with our more laid back couples in mind. The process also works perfectly for those planning a more intimate wedding as well as couples working with a tighter budget or time scale.
Dried wedding flowers are perfect for elopements and those travelling with their florals.
The collection makes selecting your florals easy for couples who love the F&R signature style of wedding flowers.
This collection may not suit couples who have a very strong version of their wedding florals and want us to bring their moodboard to life - we are more than happy to accommodate this, just pop us a request for a bespoke wedding florals call, to ensure we make your floral dreams perfect!!
DRIED Pick n Mix item selections
We want to stress that the pick n mix collection is for couples who love our style of florals, are happy with a mix of “florists choice” market best flowers - we know flowers inside out and will ensure that the florals you receive will be high quality, beautiful and in keeping with your colour scheme.
How will my flowers look?
Your bouquets and florals will be within the F&R signature style and made to the sizes indicated on our sample page, but will be created with your colour scheme in mind using seasonal, high quality flowers. Our website and socials are full of examples of our wedding florals, feel free to have a nosy and make sure we’re the right choice for you.
We have created a pricing recipe to ensure consistency, however the beauty of our Pick n Mix Collection is that your blooms will still be unique to your day, due to the seasonality of flowers and the colour schemes you’ve specified.
Over the years, our couples have loved trusting us to create their florals in this kind of way - allowing us freedom to create your perfect blooms and allows for a little lovely surprise for you, on a day that you have otherwise planned to the letter!
What flowers will my order contain?
Regardless of season - our dried bouquets and florals will usually include smalled headed dried florals (we love to use dried dasies and spray roses), bunnytails, wheats and grasses, palm spears, preserved ruscus and eucalyptus and fluffy pamas grasses.
Additionally to these florals, we will add in seasonal superstars to make your florals show stopping! This may include poppyheads, dried ranunculus and dried delphinium - this is all dependent on what dried and preserved florals are available and work best within your colour scheme! This ensures we are getting the best possible quality of florals for your day.
We don’t want a bridal bouquet
If you don’t need a bridal bouquet - that’s perfectly fine!
That being said, we would not suggest ordering a bridesmaid bouquet in place of a bridal bouquet due to the size difference - this is why we offer three sizes of bridal bouquet!
We don’t want venue flowers
That’s fine! We can supply the personal florals only for you day.
Can we add additional items that aren’t listed on the Pick n Mix menu?
Generally we do not allow for additional items outside of the listed items to be added to pick n mix weddings. If you are wanting aisle florals, archways and any other additional florals we are happy to accommodate this via a bespoke wedding call. We’d love to hear your ideas!!!
The being said - we can add Thank You gift bouquets and bunches of foliage for additional decor, we can confirm close to the date.
Can I send you my full moodboard and inspo to bring to life?
We can certainly do this - but we suggest you contact us for a bespoke quote if you have really specific ideas for your flowers.
Can I request preserved roses in my bouquet?
When ordering from the Pick n Mix Collection - Your florals will be created using a variety of flower varieties. We feature preserved roses (they look almost identical to fresh roses) in many of our bespoke bridal bouquets - however these are a very luxury floral which cast be expensive, so we don’t offer them in the Dried Pick n Mix collection.
If you would like us to use them, we can certainly accommodate this, however we request you set up a bespoke floral call with us to ensure we get the quote and the florals right for you on this!
Can I request a certain flower variety to be included in my order?
We can’t promise certain stems, due to the nature of our pick n mix collection and mother nature herself. Not all flowers work as dried or preserved, so this limits the florals we can use.
However if you have a request for a certain flower, please let us know and we will endeavour to include it where possible.
Can I request a certain flower variety to not be included in my order?
If there are certain florals you definitely don’t want to ses, then let us know!
Can you send me a photo of the florals before delivery?
We generally don’t do this, as we want them to be a lovely surprise for you and hope that all our couples trust us to make their flowers amazing! We may post some images of the florals in our studio when they arrive but we will never post finished items on socials before they have been delivered to you.
Colour Scheme
We haven’t picked a colour scheme yet!
We know picking a colour scheme can be tricky! We are happy to provide some guidance with this and will be adding colour scheme examples to the website and our socials for you to see!
How do we let you know our colour scheme?
On our Pick N Mix order from, there is space for you to tell us this information. Once your order is confirmed, we are more than happy for you to send over a small moodboard to show the colour scheme you would like, to ensure we are matching your bridesmaids and other decor well!
Our colour scheme has changed slightly?
We know colour schemes and other details may shift slightly during the planning process - if you are booking over 3 months out - we will set up a quick call around 4 weeks before your wedding to finalise any details in terms of colour schemes, ribbons, deliveries and order quantities.
Some tips for detailing your colour scheme
please ensure you give us realistic colours and the shade - if you want pinks, are we thinking soft, light tones or really punchy brights?
Colours like “blush” and “nude” can mean different things to different people, sending colours on a small moodboard will clear up any confusion.
Please be aware that we are dealing with natural products, we may not be able to get the perfect shade of lilac or blue, but we will ensure the mix of florals are as close to your scheme as possible
White flowers are a popular choice, but as you may have found if you’re on the hunt for the perfect white dress, the shades can vary drastically! White florals can often vary in subtle shades of creams, pinks and green tones. If you want bright white or creamier tones, let us know!! White florals are also the most likely to bruise or show marks during the day on bridal party bouquets, due to their light tones, this is something to bear in mind and remember to treat them delicately!
Your bouquets and florals will contain greenery as standard. If you would like to discuss more flower heavy/no greenery options, we can do this on a bespoke call!

vases
What style of vases do you use?
For our large arrangements, we use “pickle jar” size vases, for our smaller vases, we use “honey jars” and for our bud vases we will use a mix of different size vases. All of these vases will be clear glass as standard and we’ve found they work perfectly for their purpose! These cannot be altered - however if you want your bud vases to be all identical - we can do this at request.
Can we use our own vases or swap them out?
We only use the vases we provide for Pick n Mix orders.

The vases are yours to keep! They have been included in the price and make lovely gifts for your guests to take away. We will not return at the end of the night or the next day to collect the vases.
However if you don’t want to keep the vases, we are happy to take them back from you and will provide you with a gift voucher to their value, for you to spend on future F&R purchases!
Your bridal party flowers will be delivered in water to keep them fresh, full info on this will be sent with your order confirmation.
What happens with the flowers/vases at the end of the event?
